Today’s Word:  Discretion (noun)- the quality of using good judgement and self-restraint. 

Sentence: The personal assistant had enough discretion not to discuss the movie star’s personal business with anyone.

Today’s Announcements:

  • US Marine Core will have Srgt Patterson will NOT be visiting today.  This visit was cancelled.
  • Attention sophomores and juniors: If you think you may take a dual credit course over the next two years, you will need to apply to Heartland and go to Heartland for assessment testing.  Please stop in the counseling office and pick up an instructional form to complete these steps. School day assessment testing will take place the morning of Feb 15th. The deadline to apply to Heartland in time to attend school day assessment testing is Thursday, February 8th.
  • Book club will meet on Friday, during both advisories.
  • Girls’ Soccer Conditioning on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30pm, meet in the commons after school.
  • The January FFA Chapter meeting is this Friday during 1st lunch in the auditorium.  All FFA members should plan to attend.
  • Attention sophomore or junior students: The CEO program applications are now available. If you are interested in applying to be part of the CEO program for the 2018-19 school year, please stop into the counseling office to pick an application up from Mrs. Blessing.
