Today’s Announcements:

  • There will be a meeting on Friday in A21 for anyone interested in learning more about joining an Olympia Relay for Life team.  Snacks will be provided!
  • Seniors: Did you know that last year Olympia had 6 seniors receive full tuition scholarships for Heartland? If you are planning to attend Heartland, the scholarship application is OPEN! Make sure to log into your portal to access the scholarship. The deadline is March 1st.
  • The Outdoor Adventure Club will be having a short meeting for the Ski Trip this Friday in the auditorium during Jr/Sr Advisory. All students attending the Ski Trip to Cascade Mountain will need to be in attendance. Please contact Mr. Castillo if you have any questions.
  • The OHS Student Council will be hosting a black light dance for all high school students on Saturday February 17th. The dance will be held in the OHS cafeteria from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm.  Tickets will be $5 at the door.
  • Stem club will have a meeting Today during 2nd lunch starting at 11:55 in Ms. Bower's room.  Freshman and Sophomores are welcome to bring your lunch to the meeting. ​ Please see Mrs. Benjamin or Mrs. Bowers if you need a pass. Hope to see you then!
  • Poetry Club will meet in Ms. Hughes's classroom (A17) during first lunch Today.  Current and new members are welcome.  Please, bring a poem to share!
  • FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) will meet again this Friday, February 16th in the gym during 1st lunch. There will be fun activities, a guest speaker, and Valentine’s Day themed door prizes. All students are welcome to come. Juniors & Seniors can bring their lunch. Hope to see you there!
  • You could be the next Olympia Football Team Videographer, Student Manager, or Student Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2018 football season!  Candidate will be rewarded!  For more information, please stop by the main office.
  • Seniors: We need your help in decorating the Counseling Bulletin Board!!! Please bring in a recent 4x6 photo of yourself and give it to your Advisory teacher.  We want to make this semester ALL ABOUT YOU, SENIORS!!
  • All girls interested in playing soccer need to get registered online with a complete physical as well.  Practice begins Monday February 26th right after school.  There will be conditioning every day this week after school getting us ready for the season.  
  • Each year, FFA chapters around the country celebrate National FFA Week. It’s a time to share with local, state and national audiences what FFA is and the impact it has on members every day. Next week is National FFA week! Help us celebrate FFA by participating in the many activities that will be held. The Dress up days are as follows, Tuesday- Blue and Gold day, Wednesday-America Day, Thursday-College Shirt Day, Flannel Friday/Country Day.  The 1st block class that has the most participation will earn a donut party!  There will be an all school assembly on Tuesday afternoon!
  • Olympia High School Student Council will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, March 2ndth.  You must be at least 16 years old to donate and there are additional height and weight requirements that must be met.   Stop in the office to sign up for a donation time and pick up the information sheet and permission slip.  Students must sign up by 3:30 PM Thursday March 1stth.  Sign-ups will not be taken after this time!  On the day of the blood drive all donors must have a photo ID or their Donor card.
  • Today's Stand Up Club meeting has been canceled.
  • ​For CTE Month, The Art Department Student of the month is Shelby Payne for her ability to encourage and support others in the art classroom as well as persevere and work hard on her own projects.

Today’s Announcements:

  • All girls interested in playing soccer need to get registered online with a complete physical as well.  Practice begins Monday February 26th right after school.  There will be conditioning every day this week after school getting us ready for the season.  
  • Olympia High School Student Council will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, March 2ndth.  You must be at least 16 years old to donate and there are additional height and weight requirements that must be met.   Stop in the office to sign up for a donation time and pick up the information sheet and permission slip.  Students must sign up by 3:30 PM Thursday March 1stth.  Sign-ups will not be taken after this time!  On the day of the blood drive all donors must have a photo ID or their Donor card
  • In celebration of Career and Technical Education month, Heartland Community College is hosting a Career and Technical Education Expo on Wednesday, February 21st from 5-7:30 p.m. and all students are invited! This event is open to the public and allows prospective students to see first-hand what our Career and Technical programs are like by participating in mini hands-on workshops lead by faculty. The workshops feature Heartland’s CTE programs such as Business Technology, Computer Networking, Early Childhood, Radiography, Industrial Technology, etc. See your counselor or CTE teacher for details.
  • Lincoln College will have a representative here in the commons during lunch today.
