Senior girl’s track team runner Shelby Siltman looks forward to her fourth season with Voach Neisler and with the rest of the team members as they look forward to meets.

Siltman tries to set personal goals for herself every season just as any other athlete. Some of her specific for this 2017 season is to make it to state, place in the state meet, and break records from the previous season.

The senior runner also has goals for the team she would like to see be met. Her biggest ones that have been set are to give 100% at practice and improve as an overall team throughout the course of the season.

This year’s girls track team includes a roster filled with a range of freshmen through seniors. Freshmen and sophomore runners include Jade Andris, Sara Eckert, Lindsay Eaton, Nicholle Schuerman, Amber Lane, Caitlyn Rich, Gabrielle Kaeb, Hannah Lawless, Grace Litwiller, Renee Hallstein, and Lyndsey Sebok. Junior and senior runners include Abby Spencer, Morgan Aldridge, Sadie Donaldson, Jordan Jumper, Shelby Siltman, Jesse Wyse, Samone Donald, and Taylor Flack.

Coach Neisler said, “I feel this season will go pretty well, we have many good runners and I’m feeling optimistic about it.”

Siltman said, “I’m looking forward to being a senior on the team and setting an example for the younger girls.”

The girls first meet took place Saturday March, 4 at Illinois State University. This was an indoor meet, the first outdoor meet will be in Greenville as an invitational.

Having Coach Neisler all four years, Siltman says she is going to miss him alot and he has  made it an exciting four seasons.
