Olympia’s Girls basketball team has had an improved season from last year’s record by 4 wins finishing 6-18, senior basketball player Kendra Peifer seemed very impressed with performance this season.

“We have developed an offense, we run plays so we score more points and our defense has gotten better so we’re limiting drives,” said Senior basketball player Kendra Peifer.

The Olympia Spartans girls’ basketball team didn’t lose many games by large margins as a majority of their games by 10 points or less.

When asked what the best asset of the team this year is Kendra simply said, “Our defense is our biggest strength.”

The girls had a lot of games that could have helped them get better for their regionals matchups.

When asked what game helped the team get better Kendra said, “Pontiac game by far, we played really good offensively and defensively.”

Olympia will be losing two starters because they are seniors. It will be interesting to see how the girls team next year bounces back.

One thing is for sure and that is if they continue to improve they will be a pretty good team. Expect great things from them following this season.
